Welcome to Emirates International School, Jumeirah. I am proud to be the Principal of the prestigious Emirates International School, Jumeirah. We have a very proud history of being the first IB Diploma school in Dubai (1992) and growing to now offer all four programmes: IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme. For 30 years, we have prepared students for world renowned universities such as MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Cambridge and the London School of Economics, amongst others. We are very proud of our legacy of graduating IB students who are well prepared to take on the challenges of the modern world. It is important to note at the core of an IB education are the soft skills which are essential for the modern day workplace. Our thriving Alumni Association is a testament to a number of our students who have become leaders in their chosen fields. We are a real international community. Our student body comprises over 2000 students aged 3 – 19 from more than 70 different nationalities. While students are encouraged to be good representatives of their own culture and heritage, they are also made aware of the values of the host country, and are knowledgeable and respectful of local heritage and norms. Festivals and traditions of all cultures are appreciated thus laying the foundation for global citizenship. We are a very open school and seek to develop this continually within our community. Communication is a key aspect and we will be hosting many different forums where parents, prospective and current, can come in and meet the teachers and leaders of the school. We continually utilise this feedback to further enhance the school at all levels. Sending your child to us means becoming part of a community! I trust you will find everything that you need to know about us on our school website. A website though is only a window into our school and so we do also invite you to visit us to see everything in practice.
