The Lycée Louis Massignon was created in 1972 . The establishment founded by the Société des Pétroles became, in October of the same year, the École des Sociétés Françaises. At the time, around forty students occupied premises near the current Hôtel Méridien. Over the years, the school has experienced a real craze.
Buoyed by its success, the school then left the seafront and the area around the Corniche to take up new quarters on Rabdan Street. On September 19, 1981, the start of the school year took place in new buildings. On February 22, 1982, the school officially became the Lycée Louis Massignon. Mr. Claude Cheysson, Minister of External Relations made the trip for the inauguration with some 700 high school students.
Today, the establishment welcomes more than 1770 students in more than 70 classes. Kindergarten and CP students have had recent and modern infrastructure since 2019. The entire school is regularly renovated.
