School Description

The Repton Family of Schools in the UAE celebrated Repton School Dubai’s 15th anniversary with the launch of an exclusive Repton Heritage Exhibition at the Nad Al Sheba campus on 9th February, 2022. Showcasing the enriched heritage and foundations of Repton dating back to its inception in 1557 in the United Kingdom, the bespoke heritage exhibition displays a dedicated wall to world-renowned children’s author and Old Reptonian, Roald Dahl. This includes a first edition copy of the ‘Magic Finger’, a signed first edition of ‘The Twitts’, and an uncorrected proof copy of ‘Going Solo’.

The interactive experience also showcases special artefacts and memorabilia such as the original framed rubbing taken from the school’s founder, Sir John Port and an original Graffiti Sanitorium Board featuring carvings made by students to pass the time in the sick bay, dating back to the 1890’s. Reptonians and history enthusiasts have the opportunity to reminisce and learn about the enriched Repton historical culture; from hand drawn family-tree charts linking Sir John Port with HRH Queen Elizabeth II, to priceless Repton ledgers and the original Priory Seal explaining the inception of Repton UK.

Situated in the Dubai Science Park, Repton Al Barsha is well located for enhancing community life. The school campus offers many additional clubs, sporting venues and hall space for use by external groups.

The parent and friends group, known as Friends of Repton (FoR) is a valuable element in bringing the whole Repton Community together through events, coffee mornings and activities. Each class has a Class Social Representative to help draw these areas together.

Extra Curricular Activities

Academic excellence at Repton Al Barsha is matched by an extraordinarily broad co-curricular provision. This is a vital part of our pupils’ broad and far-reaching education. Our co-curricular programme is purposeful, inclusive and ambitious. We offer more than 65 activities to all our pupils as early as FS1, every week day, and across sports, creative arts, well-being, culture, mother-tongue languages and more.

Reptonians are able to take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities for academic enrichment that stretch way beyond the confines of the classroom, trying out new things, taking risks, finding their passions and having fun exploring them!

The vast majority of the activities are free, voluntarily run by our passionate and inspiring teachers who develop exciting and high-quality learning experiences, fostering self-confidence, leadership, team work, empathy, perseverance and many more life-long skills. The lessons learnt and experiences gained through collaboration on after-school projects, hours of dance rehearsals or dedicated sports practice are invaluable.

Co-curricular activities also enable Reptonians to compete externally and they regularly win prizes in a wide range of specialties, including Academic Olympiads and Debating.
